NEXI
To design a home energy monitor.
In the Fall of 2015, while at Herbst Produkt, Will engaged with NEXI while they were at the startup incubator Highway1. The idea was design a device that is prominent in the home, giving a real time status update to home energy consumption.
The design reflects two states of energy use throughout the day. The center either glows green for good or red to notify the homeowner they're using more energy than planned. The dial mimicks that of clock by showing a 12 hour history of energy use, and each hour is represented on a spectrum of green (good) to red (bad).
