To design a clinical diagnostic system. 

Identifying bacterial infections can be challenging. Sure the petri dish has worked for ages, but when the clock is ticking 2-3 days just isn’t an option. According to the CDC, up to 50% of antibiotics prescribed in the hospital are inappropriate or unnecessary. Pattern reduces the time ID/AST results to hours.

The design of pattern conforms to a diverse range of hospital lab environments. It has a single power module that can accommodate up to 23 testing units. The modules can be stacked vertically and horizontally, are easy to deploy and service.

While at Herbst Produkt, will designed the visual design language for all of Patterns physical touch points - from the device, cartridges to packaging. Will also was a key part of the team naming, branding and rebooting patterns website.
